Yoo Ah In headlined news lately due to his reported benign bone tumor. His agency has finally provided greater info on his recent medical prognosis. Despite the clarifications, misunderstandings have also risen every day on misleading reports.
On February 16, a representative from Yoo Ah In’s side said, “It is true that he received a bone tumor diagnosis. It is not malignant, but benign. There are no difficulties in his day-to-day life. We are watching his prognosis. We never said that he was “battling his illness,” and we don’t know where that phrase came from.”
The source continued, “Yoo Ah In’s fitness is presently okay. His clinical condition isn’t always intense. We hope there could be no greater misunderstandings concerning his medical condition. It’s true though that he has a fracture, however it is far from the specific story of his bone tumor. There are a few opinions that say the two are completely unrelated. There is not anything hugely bizarre about his fitness.”
“Yoo Ah In is assessed as a person who may be re-examined by the Military Manpower Administration and we are expecting for that to happen. He is without a doubt following the administration’s procedures. We ask all of you to refrain from any other interpretations or incorrect reports.”
It all started when one news outlet used a quote from a hospital source, saying that Yoo Ah In has a bone tumor and has been combating a sickness. This began rumors of Yoo Ah In “struggling with a disease” and started to spread everyday.
His agency said that they never used those words to describe his medical prognosis.
