YG Entertainment is once again teasing their next artist to make a comeback

YG Entertainment dropped a teaser image asking ‘Who’s Next?’ and included the date August 19, 2016.

It appears as though the agency is teasing their next artist to make a comeback following their debut of new girl group BLACKPINK.

There are many possible candidates for who is next from YG. Many assume that it will be either iKON’s Bobby, WINNER’s Song Mino, or a sub-unit comprised of those two artists. Considering that the pair were recently spotted in Itaewon and YG confirmed finishing filming for their music video, it is highly likely their unit debut is next.

YG Entertainment’s CEO Yang Hyunsuk has opened up about his feelings towards 2NE1, the new girl group and the 90s boy band that recently joined the agency, Sechs Kies.

When asked why he postponed the 90s idol group’s show to June, Yang said it was because “they have to show something new. “We can’t just stick with the old fan base so i asked Park Geuntae (composer) to write them a new song.” Meanwhile, when asked about the new girl group that was allegedly making their debut in June, Yang said this.

The girls have been training for a while, so their talent is guaranteed. Of course, it’s been 7 years since I debuted a girl group so i am a little nervous but am confident too.

Yang said that from this week, the new group’s members will be unveiled slowly.
