That moment when~

“Who the Hell Is BTS?’ The Band Who Beat Bieber, Ariana, Selena…”
“Bigger than Bieber…?”
“K-Pop Group BTS Sends Internet Into A Frenzy…”

These are just some of the top headlines from the most popular news magazines in the world, especially in America. Billboard magazine has also been talking a lot about BTS as one of K-pop’s top performing artists and music producers today.

“Who is BTS?’ Becomes Top Google Search After Group’s Epic …”
“Miley Cyrus, Celine Dion & BTS Crushed Twitter During 2017…”
“How BTS’ BBMA Win Proves K-Pop Can Compete & Thrive on a Global Scale”
“K-pop has officially landed in America”

BTS is getting closer to more audiences around the globe with all these amazing news about them! New viewers, especially those who saw them for the first time during the BBMAs have been flocking to their music videos, helplessly falling into the K-pop trap and on their way to joining the ARMY fandom.

They are now the first K-Pop group to be nominated and the first Korean artist to win over widely-known international artists such as Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande and Shawn Mendes in a fan-voted category as the Top Social Media Artist during the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. They have ended fellow top artist, Justin Bieber’s six-year winning streak. They also broke the World Record of having the most votes at a whooping 300 million!

When the Top Social Artist Award was being presented, the members were silent and were caught on camera crossing their fingers.

BTS has a strong presence on social media and has been known to update fans through Twitter and V-Live. Through these channels, they were able to spend time and share various moments with their fans around the world. The group is now the first group on ‘V’ to reach over five million subscribers!

For a K-Pop group who just debuted in 2013 and came from a not well-known entertainment company, they have come a really long way and they have made a remarkable contribution in the Korean music history by being nominated and even winning in the prestigious Billboards Music Awards alongside PSY who won the Top Streaming Song in 2013.

BTS just finished their 5 sold-out arena tours in the US and still currently on a world tour for their “Wings” album which also made it to the Billboard 200 as the highest chart ranking for a K-Pop album. They have been a huge success and fans all over the world will be expecting more from them.

Meanwhile, fans and spectators all over the world are still on debates on social media with issues of Asian representation on global stages and racism as the main topics.

I love BTS and I am an American/ Latina. I am very happy to see them be part of the Billboard. We need that, artist from all over the world. They are good young kids , they worked hard and they deserved. -Social commenter, Lizette Ostojic
BTS has set multiple records on various Billboard charts for ALL of Kpop. The have spent the 3rd most weeks on the Billboard Top 50 Social Chart behind only Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift. Not to mention last I checked they were ranked #8 on Billboards Hot 100 Artists. They accomplished all that without going viral. The nomination and win were both well deserved. -Amanda @disqus_9MEijAtZvE

Recently, Rap Monster has just revealed that their next goal is a worldwide stadium tour! A stadium usually holds around 30,000-50,000 people.

What’s next for BTS? We are sure they are working on another beautiful album. Collaboration with more amazing artists, perhaps?

Let’s continue to support them and find out ourselves!
