The 29th Korea Producer Awards’ ‘Artist of the Year’, TWICE has been preparing from the past few weeks for their upcoming debut in Japan. According to a source, TWICE have launched their Japanese website and other social media accounts in early February including tons of promotional ads and photos were seen on the walls and subways around Tokyo.
After releasing their fourth EP along with the music video titled “Signal” (Korean ver.) produced by Park Jin-young (JYP) last May 15 at 18:00 KST, countless of Japanese promotions followed. On June 14, TWICE released the Japanese version of “Signal” as a preview and countdown to their Japanese album, ‘#TWICE’.
A week later, they have released the full M/V of “TT (Japanese ver.)”, directed by Jimmy BSPictures. They have officially debuted their “#TWICE (Japanese Debut Best Album)” on the 28th of June. Along with their Japan takeover, “TT” was featured on Tokyo Tower with the same date and on the 30th 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM JST. The discography contains 5 Japanese versions plus 5 Korean ones.

On July 2, the girl group just held their two-part debut showcase titled ‘Touchdown in Japan’ at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, attended by thousands of ONCEs!
For the first time, they have appeared to some Japanese magazines such as, ViVi (August Special Edition) and Popteen Magazine! JYP is finally setting back-to-back promotions for Japanese ONCEs!
