These last weeks have been exciting for K-pop. New groups like (G)I-DLE have received an immense amount of support. BTS did a comeback and won their second social media Billboard music award and more so keep reading for more topicality information.
After weeks of waiting and hyping the fans, Cube Entertainment finally revealed their new girl group, (G)I-DLE. The rookie group goes in through the big door with their title track “Latata” and already won two times against big names like Winner. Even though the initial stage of the group was marked by their leader, Jeon So Yeon who already had experience in their solo debut and shows like Produce 101 and Unpretty Rapstar; each member of the group has crawled into the fans heart, so we’ll be surely looking forward for this group’s future works who already had a big start.
In other news, the already known BTS released their third studio album “Love yourself: Tear”, with a more mature look and with the already meaningful lyrics this group already got us used to and if we are talking about big doors, for BTS the scenario of the Billboard Music Award was for them with the global premiere of their album’s lead single. The presence of “Fake Love” and the whole album in the world charts really confirm why BTS is arguably K-pop’s biggest group at the moment. We’ll be doing a more intense breakdown of the album soon so keep tuned.
If you have been seeing the latest comebacks, you’ve probably noticed KHAN. This duo was already familiar to the fans, as both of the members were part of The Ark; a group who sadly had to disband due to one member’s surgery. Since then, each member took their own paths. This time, Euna Kim and Jeon Min Ju finally came back as a duo with “I’m your girl”.
The summery beat, together with the soft vocals already took Khan to perform in Yu HuiYeol’s Sketchbook and fans have been present in the shows with cheers and fan chants. Will this be the golden opportunity for these young artists?
Mamamoo members are always active, we recently saw Wheein performing with Sik-k “Easy”, this time is MoonByul is back with two songs, “In my room” and “Selfish”, the last one featuring SeulGi from Red Velvet. Both songs are fulfilled with the characteristic Mamamoo member rap and also showing her singing abilities, there’s no need to say something about the quality of the tracks but surely we’re seeing a new facet of “MoonStar” and the fact of Mamamoo is doing these cross-companies collaborations will probably open the opportunities for seeing more in the future. Meanwhile, let’s enjoy this amazing work.
