Samsung unveiled its new healthcare wearables for trial use in New York last Thursday.
The Gear Fit 2 smartwatch enables the user to monitor their activity, heart rate and calorie consumption. It also synchronizes with Android based smartphones to track incoming phone calls and text messages.
Music can be played independently of the user’s phone as the device includes 4 GB of storage space for MP3 files.
The Gear IconX is an earbud type devise with the same basic fitness function as its wrist worn twin, but it operates totally on its own with no available synchronizing abilities.
The Gear Fit 2 will be available within this month for US$179, and the Gear IconX is scheduled for worldwide release in July for $199.
