Earlier today, Seezn, a media service streaming by KT, announced the 10th season of its Korean variety program series “NCT Life,” which features the South Korean boy group NCT (Neo Culture Technology). The program lets the viewers see the daily life of the group as well as their promotional activities and travels.
The 10th Season which was revealed to be “NCT LIFE: Dream in Wonderland” will be featuring the members of the Dream Unit who were also the main characters of the 5th season, “NCT Life: Entertainment Relay”. The 5 members, namely Renjun, Jeno, Chenle, Jisung, and Jaemin, who was on hiatus during the 5th season, will be participating in the program’s new season. The teaser will be released on the 23rd and 30th of June and the program will start airing on July 6, 2020 every Monday and Tuesday, 6pm KST via Seezn app.
Additionally, SM Entertainment announced the unit’s new system, for it was well known among the fans that the Dream Unit follows a graduation system, wherein the members graduate from the unit once they reach adulthood or the age of 20 years old. In 2018, Mark graduated from the Dream Unit officially. This year, the 4 members, Renjun, Haechan, Jeno, and Jaemin, would be graduating from the unit. However, due to the demand of the fans, the unit will be reformatted to NCT U’s system. NCT Dream will now be composed of the original 7 members including Mark. The members will get to promote in the other NCT units in the future as well.
NCT Dream had their last comeback before the team got reorganized. Last April 29, the group dropped their 4th Korean EP entitled “Reload” which broke a lot of records before it was even released. The album had over 500,000 pre-orders alone. On the day of the album release, it topped the iTunes album chart in 49 countries including the U.S, and topped the digital album sales chart of China’s largest music site QQ. Their title track “Ridin” also reached #1 on Korea’s largest music site Melon, making it the first track of any NCT unit to top a chart. All the songs from the album were also included in the top 10 of Melon Digital Chart. NCT Dream also ranked No. 1 on Billboard’s “Emerging Artists” chart and they also held a successful virtual concert “NCT Dream – Beyond the Dream Show” for their fans all around the world.
