A few days ago, Monsta X being one of the most popular groups in K-pop right now has presented again in Santiago of Chile—only one year from their last show, having already performed in Mexico, Argentina, and for first time in Brazil. This has been a busy year for the group as they had acquired a lot of popularity and some months back, introduced their new mini-album; “The Connect” with “Jealousy” as title track and has already accumulated around 25 million views on YouTube.
After the America tour, shows in Europe and Asia will keep them busy where they will promote the acclaimed mini-album.
Expectations were very high because of last year’s presentation, so we’re excited to see what new stuff they will bring us and enjoy the great music this group has provided in only three years since their debut.
With NoiX Entertainment’s help, that has produced some of the biggest shows in the country; it’s expected to be another item in their success list, especially considering the popularity that this album has had in America even topping the iTunes Albums chart. At the venue, fans who possessed the “MonBeBe VIP” ticket participated for the opportunity of Hi-Touch and a group photo with Monsta X.
Tension outside the venue was already felt. Not many groups achieve two presentations in the same country, which groups them with big names like Super Junior and BTS in terms of fan support. This became understandable once you get inside the arena where MonBeBes were screaming, cheering, and singing for the group even before the show began.
With a great staged scenario and a live translator, there became a perfect formula to make a group who already shine by their own do it even more–being this quite important for such a visual group like Monsta X.
Speaking of their singing and dancing abilities is almost redundant. It is well known that all members of the group are amazing performers. However, I feel the necessity to highlight the neat work of the rappers, even under the live circumstances they gave their all for the public. Electro-Pop is a genre where you can group most of the Monsta X songs, but that didn’t limit them in performing very well from beautiful ballads to the tropical hit, “Tropical Night” and even a Bruno Mars cover of “Versace on the Floor”.
The big lights were turned off, leaving us with a great night behind. Both the idol group and their fans’ joy were expressed throughout the show, and surely it will not be a long time until we see them presenting us their new work.
Special thanks to NoiX Entertainment.
