MOMOLAND is returning on June 26 with a new single and a comeback show-con following their official Japanese debut on June 13th!
The rising girl-group that was formed in 2016 through Mnet’s survival reality show, “Finding Momoland” has released hits like “JJan! Koong! Kwang!”, “Wonderful Love”, and “Freeze” before winning their first No. 1s on Korean music shows with their catchy song, “Bboom Bboom”.
Their #1 hit single became wildly successful in South Korea, Japan, and many other countries. The song only became outsold by two BTS singles in America and it also reached No. 4 on the World Digital Song Sales chart according to Billboard.
MOMOLAND’s popularity in Japan has also exceeded expectations with sold-out goods and fan meeting, as well as great album sales!
Aside from the group’s member JooE receiving so much love in South Korea, Nancy also went viral; especially in the Philippines for her resemblance with a top Filipina star, Liza Soberano.
Moreover, MOMOLAND’s “Bboom Bboom” which has reached over 100 million views on YouTube also became ultra-famous in the Philippines, with its dance being a crowd favourite and the song becoming one of the most played bop from radio to television shows, malls, schools, and pretty much wherever you are in the country!
The group’s “2018 MOMOLAND Comeback Show-Con” will be held on the 26th, 8PM KST at the Blue Square iMarket Hall in South Korea. They will perform their new single which is described as an ”upbeat dance track” by Shinsadong Tiger, who also produced their latest hit ”Bboom Bboom.”
MOMOLAND also plans to donate the full amount of their ticket sales for charity. The group will add 5,000 KRW to each ticket sale (5,000 KRW), so a total of 10,000 KRW per audience member will be donated for the treatment of children who were injured in traffic accidents in school zones.
