Lee Jong-suk (Hangul: 이종석, born 14 September 1989) is a South Korean actor and model.
He debuted in 2005 as a runway model, and is well known to be the youngest male model ever of the Seoul Collection program for Seoul Fashion Week.
Jong-suk began his acting career in the 2009 Short Film Sympathy. In 2013, Lee ranked respectively in fifth place according to a survey entitled ‘Actors Who Lit Up 2013’ by Gallup Korea, one of the most recognized awards in Korea for the entertainment industry.
He is best known for his leading roles in School 2013 (2012), I Can Hear Your Voice (2013), Doctor Stranger (2014) and Pinocchio (2014). He is the youngest actor in history to be awarded the Grimae Award for “Best Male Actor” for his performance in Pinocchio.
Lee Jong-suk is currently signed with YG Entertainment joining fellow A-List actors such as Cha Seung Won and Kang Dong Won at the agency.
He currently stars in the hit MBC drama W as Kang Chul, together with Han Hyo-Joo who is an award winning Korean actress coming back to the small screen after 6 years.
Jong-suk majors in Professional Motion Pictures Art at South Korean Konkuk University. He graduated from Konkuk University in 2016.
