Forbes featured various Korean personalities in their ‘2017 30 Under 30 Asia’, a list which is known to present influential Asians under the age of 30.

Popular Korean singers Jessica Jung, Eric Nam and Jay Park were included under the 30 Under 30 Asia: ‘Celebrities’ list. According to Forbes, those under this category use their fame to make a difference — and a fortune. It is no secret that all three have attained international success and multiple accomplishments under their belt. Jessica Jung, who used to be a member of Girls Generation, has proven to have been successful as a solo act and even started her fashion line. Jay Park started out as a singer but established his own record label, AOMG, which is known to produce talented hip-hop artists. Meanwhile, Eric Nam does not only have a soulful voice, but he has also become a popular interviewer of famous stars that come to Korea. He also founded Kollaboration’s Boston chapter, which is a non-profit organization that promotes Asian-American talents in the US.

Other notable Korean personalities under the ‘Celebrities’ category includes internationally recognized football player Son Heungmin and make-up artist Pony. Former EXO member Kris Wu and entertainer Sam Okyere were also part of the list, both were expats in Korea yet have become household names after earning thousands of fans through being active in the industry.

Meanwhile sought-after model Irene Kim and CEO Lee Seung-yoon are part of the Forbes 30 under 30 Asia: ‘All-Star Alumni’ which was described as ‘Leading the millennial revolution of game changers’.

According to Forbes Asia, the Asia list features 300 impressive young entrepreneurs and game changers from all walks of life, pushing the boundaries of innovation.
