DreamNote, a girl group of 8 members, first and proudly presented by iMe Korea, a global
entertainment group, finally uncovers its veil with its album, ‘Dreamlike’, on November 7th.
DreamNote, combined with the words of ‘DREAM’ (its English meaning of ‘what you want to do in the future’ and its Korean meaning of ‘giving’) and ‘NOTE’ (meaning of ‘youngster’s space’), means ‘giving dream (to fans) and achieving it together’.
It has eight members namely; YOUI, BoNi, Lara, MISO, Sumin, Eunjo, HaBin and HanByeol. DreamNote armed with outstanding beauty and exceptional performance will show its own unique ‘Teengle’ (Teen + Beagle-like Beauty (beagle-like quantities such as energetic, cute, unexpectedly pleasant, etc.) full of the candid and lively charm of teenage girls.
Its debut album, ‘Dreamlike’, musically expresses the steps into the new world called Dream Space by reflecting the reality where eight girls are dreaming about their debut. Like the blooming process of flowers, it shows the colorful attractiveness of DreamNote changing while the closed door of Dream Space is finally opening.
‘DREAM NOTE’, its title, is a perfect song to represent the meaning of DreamNote, giving dream, as it is based on the retro, upbeat pop of the 1960s, full of being bright, clear and fresh. ‘Dream Note’, with the lyrics presenting their strong determination and powerful energy, displays the confidence of the girls developing themselves while keeping a diary about their dream of being on a stage. It, like their diary, tells us a fairy tale-like, sparky story. DreamNote is a whole package of beauty, skills earned through hard training, unlimited talents and huge potentials! We expect its remarkable achievements.
01. In the beginning
The intro track, a Future Trap genre having dreamy and fantastic atmosphere, shows in an
abstract and trendy way the process that DreamNote reveals itself in the real world coming out from a hopeful but unknown place. The voices of all members are impressively heard in a way that they seem to resonate in the space and its digital sound pictures the strong feeling that a great show will soon start.
02. DREAM NOTE
The title is a perfect song to represent the meaning of DreamNote, giving dream, as it is based on the retro, upbeat pop of the 1960s, full of being bright, clear and fresh. It is composed by David Amber and Andy Love, makers of several K-pop and J-pop hit songs including ‘Heart Shaker’, ‘Yes or Yes’ by TWICE and ones by NCT and Girls’ Generations, and Lyrical Station No. 9, a new team of songwriters. And it would be one of the best songs to enjoy while driving as it is layered with a variety of harmony on the lines played by the electric guitar, the fast-performed wind instruments, the Rock N Roll saxophone and the punchy synthesizer.
03. Like You
This very catchy and energetic uptempo song starts with the sound of Wurlitzer electric piano. You will be in love with this song full of addictive verses, emotional pre-chorus, easy but distinguishing chorus and the attractive layered sounds played by several musical instruments. It clearly shows ‘Teengle’ of DreamNote by expressing the feeling of heart-pounding not with a shy smile but with the candid and passionate words like ‘steal’, ‘fall for’, and so on. And it unfolds the cute but confident charms of the girls singing their genuine feelings.
04. FRESH! FRESH!
This retro, funky, fun track is done by FRAKTAL producing ‘Tell me one more time’ by JINUSEAN and ‘Rap Impossible’ by Hyungdon and Daejune, displaying the bubbly and fresh qualities of DreamNote. It has memorable chorus and easy-to-sing melody and the groovy raps by DreamNote members are its appealing point.
