Youtube Rewind recently revealed the Top 10 most popular music videos of 2018 in South Korea. The music videos released in 2018 were ranked based on the number of engagements up until mid-November. The music video engagements are measured by the number of views, comments, likes, shares, and total hours of watch time.
iKON’s “Love Scenario” (사랑을 했) which recently won as the Best Song of the Year for 2018 Melon Music Awards took the number one spot. The number two spot was taken by iKON’s label mate, BLACKPINK, for “DDU-DU DDU-DU” (뚜두뚜두). Meanwhile, MOMOLAND’s “BBoom BBoom” (뿜뿜) earned the third spot for the most popular music video in Korea.
Only TWICE and BTS managed to grab two spots on the list—TWICE’s “What is Love?” and “Dance the Night Away” and BTS’ “Fake Love” and “Idol.” Other artists which secured a spot in the Top 10 most popular music videos are Red Velvet for “Bad Boy,” BOL4 for “Travel” (여행), and MAMAMOO for “Starry Night” (별이 빛나는 밤).
