Following the resignation of Yang Min Suk, YG Entertainment welcomes their new CEO, Hwang Bo Kyung.

In the turbulent time, with the recent controversies surrounding the company, it’s understood that the one to fill in the CEO’s shoes next, will not only have to live up to the expectations of YG Entertainment but also carry additional weight.
On June 20th, after a special meeting held by YG Entertainment board of directors, Hwang Bo Kyung (left) was appointed as the next CEO of the company. She has been serving as an executive director and CFO, and has been an integral part of the company since she entered YG Entertainment in 2001.

At the meeting, the board of directors also determined that the company will create a new business transformation committee, to setup a new foundation.
