BTS has done it again!
As confirmed by the Guinness World Record, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook now holds the title for the most viewers for a music concert live stream for their ‘Bang Bang Con : The Live’ held last June 14.
A total of 756,000 fans from 100 countries tuned in to watch their online concert. The event was held after their 13-day ‘Festa’ celebrating their 7th debut anniversary. The event was over 100-minute long, including a 12-song setlist and a fun chat with all the members.
The event was streamed via Weverse, the community app by beNX in collaboration with American company, Kiswe.
The boys performed their biggest hits including ‘Boy With Luv‘ to their classics like ‘Just One Day‘. They also gave first-time performances with their unit production numbers, ‘Jamais Vu‘, ‘Respect‘ and ‘Friends.’
“Though we may not be able to see each other at this time, we’ve been constantly striving to grow as a group. We are coping up with it pretty well so hope that you too can overcome this time by finding the small joy within.” Jimin stated.
The South Korean septet currently holds a couple of Guinness World Record including first K-pop act to reach number one on the US album chart, best selling album (South Korea) and most twitter engagements.
BTS ARMY also set a record last year for the most used hashtag in 24 hours, tweeting #TwitterBestFandom 60,055,339 times. The group also holds the fastest time to reach one million followers on TikTok, reaching seven-digit following in just three hours and 31 minutes.
The group is also in constant exchange of record with Blackpink for the most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours.
