On July 11 at midnight KST entertainment, the six-member girl group dropped the music video for their new track “Navillera,” as well as their first full studio album. The album is titled “LOL,” and comes in two versions: “Laughing Out Loud” and “Lots of Love.”
“Navillera” was written by Igi Yong Bae, the composing team that was behind GFRIEND’s previous tracks “Glass Bead,” “Me Gustas Tu,” and their massive hit song “Rough.” In the music video, the members have a great time skating around on roller skates, going on adventures together, and just hanging out.
The word “Navillera” comes from a poem by Korean poet Cho Chi Hun entitled “A Buddhist Dance,” and is often used to describe a fluttering action, such as the movement of a butterfly. This is why the members can be seen making butterfly wing gestures with their hands in the video.
