On May 11, Day6 just came out with their latest album, “The Book of Us: The Demon” with the title track, “Zombie.” The song and the music video itself showed how our everyday lives have always been the same, almost repetitive, turning us into a zombie in our own world.
Check out the MV below:
“The Demon” is the third installment of “The Book of Us” series and has eight tracks in total, each with its own unique melody. Prior to this comeback, JYPE put a temporary halt on Day6’s promotions due to psychological anxiety that some of the members are experiencing.
Despite this setback, Zombie debuted number one in some of the Korean charts and in other countries, including iTunes. The seven B-side tracks from the album charted respectively, reached 2M views on YouTube, and 30,000 plus and counting physical album sales – all within 24 hours. The last time a JYPE boy group topped in Melon was in 2015 by 2PM, making Day6 the first boy group in 5 years to do it once again.
Day6 members expressed gratitude to all their fans through their social media platforms. Young K, who was up all night monitoring the charts, wrote, “Thanks to you, today is a very happy night… I hope you all have a good night..”
While Wonpil also posted on his Instagram stories a group photo with the fans from a
previous concert:

Jae also shared how thankful he is to all the fans who have always been with them since the
beginning:
Thank you so much really. I hope we will be able to meet soon. Take good care of your health, and I will also put in a lot of effort so we can meet soon. To our My Day who are always our source of strength, I love you all.
We wish for their speedy recovery so they can finally celebrate this huge achievement.
Congratulations to Day6 and MyDays for the success of this album!
