After the mysterious countdown teasers that Big Hit Entertainment posted on social media on May 16, showcasing six unclear photos of a person. Fans begin to wonder about BTS member was featured in the photo.
However, on May 22 , Agust D’s Apple Music profile photo has been updated to a picture of Suga that matches the teaser photos. Fans then already knew for sure that it was BTS member Suga. Soon after, the hashtag #AGUSTD2ISCOMING” trended number one worldwide on Twitter.
On May 22, Suga released his new full mixtape called ” D-2 ” under his rapper name “Agust D”, and also dropped the music video for the title track “Daechwita (대취타),” which refers to the genre of Korean traditional music, also known as “Korean military music.”
ARMYs were stunned with the track’s amazing music video, which will take you back to the ancient Korean history. Suga appeared in various styles in the MV, one with black hair and another with long blonde hair, going from wearing modern clothing to traditional costumes.
And two very familiar people appeared in the music video as merchants fighting behind Suga, they are his co-members Jin and Jungkook. It’s really a funny scene and the fans were so happy to see them in the MV.
The MV for “Daechwita” number one on YouTube, achieving more than 33 million views in just a few hours, and more than five and a half million likes on YouTube in the first few hours.
Agust D’s mixtape contains ten tracks, which features four collaborations “Strange” with BTS’s RM, “28” with NiiHWA, “Burn It” with MAX, and “Dear My Friend” with Kim Jong Wan of NELL.

” D-2 ” mixtape topped iTunes charts worldwide in 80 countries and regions, and other charts in less than 24 hours. The mixtape available on: Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, Google Music, SoundCloud, Amazon, TikTok, Orchard, and Pandora.
BTS members also showed their support for Suga. J-Hope sent a coffee truck and visited the filming set to cheer him. Suga posted on Twitter a photo from the set with J-Hope, Jungkook,and Jin, thanking them for their support.
It has been almost 4 years since Suga has released his first mixtape, but he surprised his fans with a strong and successful comeback this year as usual. Congratulations to Suga on this amazing achievement as a solo artist!
