Just recently, BTS released their second Japanese album “Youth” last September 7 and – unsurprisingly – it was a massive hit with Japanese audiences!
According to new reports, the album placed first on Japan’s Oricon Weekly Album Chart with 76,483 copies sold, making BTS the first foreign hip-hop act to rank first place on the chart!
In related news, BTS is set to perform at Japan’s reputable summer event ‘A-Nation’ in August this year.
As impressive as that achievement is, breaking Oricon chart records isn’t new for BTS. Previously, the boys became the first foreign hip-hop act to place first on Japan’s Oricon Weekly Single Chart when they released “For You” in June 2015.
With BTS currently prepping for their second Korean album “WINGS”, we can probably expect more records to be broken when that is released!
