Korean boy band BTS (also known as Bangtan Boys) hits new landmarks on the global music scene with no songs in English and no other extensive promotions. Their “WINGS” is performing impressively on the market, making the group richer in records and setting new “firsts” for K-pop.

While BTS is now the first K-pop act to spend a second week on the main Billboard 200 chart with the same album, it also means that BTS is the first K-pop act to spend four weeks on the Billboard 200 — extending their lead over G-Dragon who has two weeks on the chart so far.

Now, Wings’ lead single “Blood Sweat & Tears” breaks another record as it debuts in the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, Canada’s main singles chart earning them the Hot Shot Debut at No. 68 this week! Their album, Wings also hits No. 19 on the Canadian Albums chart, overtaking K-pop’s previous highest record on the same chart, which was also set by BTS with their Young Forever album.

Earlier this month, BTS has also entered the UK Album chart with their second full album “WINGS” and they are the first Korean artists to achieve such accomplishment. Official Charts has a reputation equivalent to that of the U.S. Billboard Chart in the music industry.
The band’s new album released on Oct. 10 has been sweeping charts across Asia and other countries, especially in Korea.
The Bangtan Boys also topped on China’s largest music site QQMusic despite zero album promotions there. Their “WINGS” topped the iTunes World Album chart as well as iTune charts in 97 countries!
The seven-member hip-hop idol group also earned their place on “YouTube Music Global Top100 Charts. Their spectacular music video for “Blood, Sweat & Tears” currently enjoys over 30 million views and a million likes on YouTube as of October 25.

The group always thank their fans for their never-ending support that has also helped them extend their popularity, letting their talents and dedication in music get more recognition globally. Their fans have also been thanking BTS translators for contributing a lot to the wonderful connection between the group and their fans from around the world. Again, congratulation Bangtan Sonyeondan for your continuous success!
