As the previous success of BTS and their supportive fans with ‘WINGS’ album, the hit K-pop boy-band is breaking a myriad of records using its album extension. They are the first K-pop idol group to truly have a single break right into the popular iTunes U.S. Top 10 track chart. Only Psy has managed to rank number 1 so far with the bomb ‘Gangnam Style’ among K-pop artists!
The single took the No. 8 spot on the US iTunes songs chart, while “Not Today” ranked at No. 11.
“Spring Day” is an alternative hip-hop song with the essence of British rock and electronic music. The music video is breathtakingly beautiful. The main melody was written by Rap Monster.
Bang Si Hyuk, the founder of BTS’s agency Big Hit Entertainment also tweeted about it like a totally proud family member.
What an honor! Thanks! BTS is the first K-pop group to reach the US iTunes Top 10 with #SpringDay!

“Spring Day” placed No. 1 on the eight major real-time music charts in South Korea namely Mnet, MelOn, Monkey3, Genie, Naver Music, Soribada, olleh, and Bugs. Their other new songs on YNWA album; “Not Today,” “Outro: Wings,” and “A Supplementary Story: You Never Walk Alone,” are also ranking high on those charts too!
Their new music video hit around 10 million views within a day, breaking their own record on YouTube for being the K-Pop group that has the most views within 24 hours. The previous record was set by “Blood Sweat & Tears” which achieved 6 million views in 24 hours.
You Never Walk Alone also topped the iTunes album charts in many countries including Armenia, Malaysia, Peru, the Philippines, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Brunei, Finland, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, and Indonesia. BTS broke its own record on Billboard’s World Albums chart.
BTS will perform “Spring Day” and “Not Today” during their upcoming Seoul concerts on Feb. 18 and Feb. 19.
Way to go BTS and ARMY!
