YG Entertainment’s global rising four-member girl group BLACKPINK dropped their most awaited comeback last April 4, 2019 at exactly 0:00 KST and according to Youtube, it got 56.7 million views in first 24 hours, now it’s more than 161 million views.
As soon as the M/V dropped, BLINKS all around the world went extra crazy! There were some positive and negative thoughts scattered over social media especially Twitter along with the hashtag #KillThisLove. Some BLINKS are saying that this comeback was “rushed”, released way earlier than the timeline so it’ll make it to Coachella and be performed in Western countries.
The music video is indeed amazing, well-produced and classy as always, but I’ve seen complains about the choreography that it’s not matched with the beat, chorus were off and not really much special compared to the success of DDU DU DDU DU. According to websites, the choreography were produced by international “world-class” choreographers which are rumoured to be Kiel Tutin, Kyle Hanagami and probably more. I’ll be 100% sure about this, tons and tons of dance covers will be up regardless of the criticisms.
Along with the lead single ‘Kill This Love’, BLACKPINK released another 4 tracks under the mini album entitled, ‘Don’t Know What To Do’, ‘Kick It’, ‘Hope Not’, and ‘DDU DU DDU DU (Remix). Available on iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify too!
Many fans are disappointed how the label produced a mini album but they still get a “remix” version from their previous comeback. This actually make so much sense. We’ve been begging to have a comeback yet we still get a remix? Hoping that the next comeback will be more than just a mini album. Fingers crossed. Please, YG!
In all fairness, line distributions were finally equal for all of them! Personally, I love Lisa’s sweet voice in ‘Hope Not’! I’m an OT4, but this really surprised me a lot. Thanks, Teddy!
These hardworking ladies have performed Kill This Love and Don’t Know What To Do in Music Core and Inkigayo, and I’m hoping to see them in other stages!
Many of you are probably aware that BLACKPINK will take place in Coachella this year on Friday, April 12, & 19 2019! Youtube will stream their set in New York City’s Times Square, which will be the first live broadcast of a festival in the location. It’ll appear at 11:50 PM on Friday at “The Beast” screen. The love for K-POP is getting bigger and bigger! Don’t you agree?

BLINKS! What are your honest thoughts?
KILL THIS LOVE ERA or DDU DU DDU DU ERA?
