Has any Kpop group’s concept photo ever reminded you of any chocolate and candy brands? Maybe it did, or maybe I am the only weird one, but regardless, there are some concept photos that undeniably resemble certain chocolates and candies.
Throughout the years K-pop artists have blessed us with creative and unique concept photos. With the superior set designs, outfits and colours, they have not only introduced us to the concept of their albums but also gave us a piece of art to cherish. I couldn’t help but notice how some of these concept photos resembled certain chocolate and candy brands. And interestingly, when placed together, they fit very well with each other.
Without any further ado, let’s check out 6 K-pop groups as some of your favourite chocolates and candies!
[Disclaimer: Light-hearted and chocolaty content ahead. Might cause chocolate cravings.]
1. ITZY :
This concept photo for ITZY’s debut single album “IT Z DIFFERENT” has all five beautiful ladies pose in front of a shimmering pink backdrop, enjoying some candies themselves. This concept photo perfectly fits one of the most popular candies, Chupa Chups Bubble Gum Cotton Candy.
Even the title of the album “IT Z DIFFERENT” very well serves as a fitting tagline for the candy.
2. STRAY KIDS :
There is no denying that the members of Stray Kids look absolutely stunning in their all-red outfits in the concept photo for their second full-length album “No EASY” (stylized as NOEASY). The red tones of their outfits match the package of the most unique candy cake, Lotte Choco Pie. This fluffy cake wrapping of chocolate is a unique pie that leaves an unforgettable taste in your mouth, just like Stray Kids’ powerful track “No EASY” which leaves an unforgettable impression in your heart.
You can’t have enough of it.
KARD’s classic concept photos for their fourth mini album “RED MOON”, are chefs kiss stunning. The greys and golds in the concept photos perfectly match Hershey’s KISSES candies.
Another similarity is that, just like KARD is a mixed group, KISSES is also a bite-sized mix of both chocolate and candy.
BTS’s concept photo for their first self-directed and ninth studio album “BE”, has a cozy ‘room’ setup in it, which is based on the theme of ‘life during the pandemic.’ Semi-formally dressed, the members are comfortably seated in a room surrounded by various musical instruments and equipment. The distinct blues, greys and browns in the concept photo match the very delicious Hershey’s chocolate bar packaging. To be specific, the look of Hershey’s ‘whole almond’, ‘cookie ‘n’ cream’, ‘milk chocolate’ and ‘cookie ‘n’ chocolate’ flavours very well complement BTS’s concept photo.
On a side note, this could be the perfect place to enjoy some Hershey’s while listening to BTS.
Another very accurate ‘photo to chocolate’ pairing! TWICE’s concept photo for their third Japanese studio album “Perfect World”, is just the perfect match of Nestle’s Kit-Kat. The members dressed in classic red & white formals, posing symmetrically around the couch, is comparable to the symmetrically sliced, chocolate waffle delight that is wrapped in red & white packaging as well.
Surprisingly, Kit-Kat’s tagline also goes well with TWICE’s album title- “Have a break, have a Kit-Kat. Perfect World.”
ATEEZ’s iconic look for the concept photo of their first full-length album “TREASURE EP.FIN: All to Action” has all the members wearing one of the most spectacular accessories ever. Dressed in brown royal suits with sparkly veils covering their face, the members look drop-dead gorgeous. And what seems to complement the browns of the concept photo is Galaxy chocolate.
The shades of brown on Galaxy’s packaging are just the right fit for the vintage look of ATEEZ’s concept photo.
I am pretty sure, by now you are probably craving something chocolaty.
