March 7, 2019 – The Mall of Asia Arena was filled with loud cheers and screams as K-POP groups NOIR, April, and NCT Dream, together with the Philippines’ very own Silent Sanctuary, shared their music to commemorate the 70th anniversary for diplomatic relationship establishment between Korea and Philippines.

PRESS CONFERENCE

Prior to the concert, the K-Pop groups had a press conference and answered some questions of the media.

APRIL

As the only girl group in the line-up, April expressed their joy as they answer the questions from the media. They felt really thankful that they’ll get to perform in this big event.

April mentioned that this is their first time to visit and perform in the Philippines that is why they felt a little nervous. But they promised to give the fans a great stage. As a 3-year old girl group, April expressed their wishes to win a music show award as well as be a part of different variety shows.

NOIR

NOIR, a 9-member boy group, expressed their gratitude for the supports of their fans. They felt really happy to come back to the Philippines for this very special event. Last 2018, NOIR had their first fan meeting in the Philippines.

Recently, NOIR just released their fandom name, Lumiere, which means “light” in French. They chose this name because their fans serves as the light for the group. Since it has only been a year after their debut, NOIR considered this event as their greatest achievement so far.

NCT DREAM

One of the sub-units of the group NCT, NCT Dream finally came to the stage to happily answer the questions from different media outlets. The same with the two other groups, they also felt honored and privileged to be included in the line-up.

Since this is also their first time to perform in the Philippines, they are very excited to see the love and support from their fans. They even mentioned how warm and friendly the Filipinos are. Being the youngest sub-unit of NCT, NCT Dream expressed their desires to do a sexy concept on their future comebacks.

CONCERT

This event was hosted by Ryan Bang and Kring Kim.

The highlight of this celebration started with a welcome speech from Ambassador Han Dong Man. The audience was impressed because he gave his speech in pure Filipino language. Kim Yong Sam, the 1st Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Victorino Mapa Manalo, the Executive Director of the Nation Archives in the Philippines, also gave their speeches.

Children went up on stage with paper planes on their hands for the Opening Declaration Ceremony. As the children tossed their paper planes, the audience raised their smartphones’ flashlight to symbolize the unity and friendship of the two countries.

SILENT SANCTUARY

The Philippines’ very own Silent Sanctuary heated the stage as they perform their hit songs. Aside from their hit songs, the most memorable moment during their performance was the audience singing along. Silent Sanctuary paused their vocals and asked the fans to sing the next line. It is just one proof that K-Pop fans still cherish their very own music.

NOIR

Known for their explosive and energetic dance moves, NOIR performed their hit songs “Airplane Mode”, “Gangsta” and “Gift”. NOIR did not only showcased their talents but also their visuals. The crowd became wild as they were introducing themselves.

NOIR ended their stage with a cover of BTS’ song, Boy in Luv.

APRIL

The pretty ladies of April then went up on stage to perform their hit songs, “Oh! My Mistake”, “April Story”, “Take my Hand”, and “Tinkerbell”. The crowd were truly mesmerized with the charms that these girls brought.

NCT DREAM

Filled with loud screams and cheers, the boys of NCT Dream finally went up on stage and owned it as they perform their debut song, “Chewing Gum”. The boys definitely felt the warm welcome from the crowd. It can be clearly seen on their faces.

They also performed “Go”, “My First and Last”, and “We Go Up”.

Because of the love that they felt from the crowd, they promised the fans that they will be coming back soon. So PH NCTzens, better save up! Who knows, that “SOON” may be sooner than expected.

The event ended up successfully and a lot of fans felt really happy after the event. For more videos of the press conference and their performances, visit our YouTube channel.
